| I watch as Darian makes a great jump. Then it's my turn. I push Snippy into a walk, trot then canter. We arrive at the jump. I line him up and go into a two-point position. Snippy clears the jump no problem at all. I say "Great job Snips!" and pat his neck. It's then Darian's turn to take the next jump. |

I move Snippy up into a canter, we round the corner and line up with the jump. He loses his pace so I do a half-halt and circle him a few times. We then try again. I line me and Snips position up to the jump. I move him into a canter and take the jump with no problem at all this time. |

My car pulls up to the stable, but I don't try to get out. I am busy texting my best friend Sara. she stills lives in New York, while I am here in snorzesville. my family and I moved here last week, and all I have done is walk my dog around my new neighborhood. My mom taps me on the shoulder. "Sky, you need to get out and go see your new stable, I have a meeting in an hour." I groan and put down my phone. "Mom, I told you, I don't want to ride any more." I say. "Why not," asks my mother. " Because all of these people probably don't even ride correctly." I answer. My mom looks at me then says. "come on, lets go, I need to leave soon." I knew better than to argue and I open the door. I step out of the door, and check my hair in the rear view mirror. "Skyler, lets go," My mom calls. I roll my eyes and follow to the barn. As I walk, I can see two girls practicing their jumping. I guess some body knows how to properly ride, I think. We enter the barn and wait for somebody to show up. |

Koda and I finish jumping and we lead the horses into he barn. There is a new girl in there waiting. Koda starts talking to her. "Hi," I say when Koda finishes. "I am Darian, this is my horse Black Knight, or just Knight. Are you taking lessons here now? The owner, Layla is gone, but Koda and I can help you get settled in." |
