ParelliChick & Lady of the Mist | | 2012-04-12 22:57:48 | | | Gemma: *I groom and tack up Lady, then take off my coveralls to reveil my show clothes, I mounts up and walk into the arena, I ask Lady to go to the rail with a gentle nudge, then I ask her to trot by bringing up my rythum, she trots and the canters, she moves very gracefully, I send her to the first jump, I wait until 2 strides and rise into my 2 point, Lady clears the jump* Good girl, next is show off time! *We head toward the Stone wall, and she goes flat out gallop and I jump into eagle pose (Your standing in the stirups and you hold your hands to the side) and 1 stride to go I lean forward to 2 Point Eagle, We clear it, we turn gracefully to the poles and Lady shiftes into an extended trot, taking the poles easily, We canter towards the wall again, and 2 stride to go I rise into 2 Point, and Lady effortlessly leaps into the air, she continues to the oxer and sails over it aswell, I stop and say* Lady is a Lippizoner, we will show you a little something that only Lippizoners can do! *I ask her to Gallop around the ring and capriole (Where she leaps into the air, her front legs curled in and hind legs kicked out and hovers for a little bit one of the 'Aires') And then we trot out* Good girl. *I untack and groom her, then cool her down and put her in her paddock attached to her stall, she gallops around, bucking and whinnying, I walk down to the judges table* Can I ride it again, with my other horse? |
ParelliChick & Lady of the Mist | | 2012-04-15 13:53:46 | | I Mount up Rusty, In my new polished black boots. I hold the reins at a tight grip. I urge Rusty into a walk. I look around the ring, there is a Small oxer with red and green stripes, I focus on the first jump. Rusty's Coat shimmers into the light, My relieved hands grip onto the reins swiftly, like its lighter than air. We reach the jump, I lean forward in the saddle, While Rusty's powerful legs urge forward. We become airborne and land at a graceful stride. Then at a quick stance I lean forward again once more. Again with rusty and his powerful legs covered with sweat lifting forward. We land once again with a light thump.
I turn the reins to the right facing the ground poles. I press my heels down In the stirrups facing forward. Rusty's graceful legs prance forward against the poles. Rusty's veins pop out of his leg. Strong and sturdy we leave the poles at a slow trot. I turn the reins to the left, Applying my aids to Rusty to keep his stride. We canter to the Stone wall, I hold the reins gripping tightly leaning forward into the saddle to keep balance. He lifts up his sturdy legs and soars over the jump. Once again we soar over the small oxer with graceful stride. We become airborne. We land with determination and pride While trotting out of the arena. |
Crazybit & Lily | | 2012-04-15 13:55:16 | | | Arianna:I hop up on Tragedy, in my show clothes, a red button down jacket over a white polo shirt, khaki pants, and red riding boots. We walk into the outdoor arena, seeing that there are jumps set up. I go around the boarder of the arena cantering and jump the oxer. Continues on forward and jumps the wall, moving Tragedy to a trot and going over the trotting poles. I canter her to the stone wall again, jumps over it, and jumps over the oxer again. I slow her to a trot, and we go out of the arena. |
