| Jenny: Hang on Brook! two things. first, you don't even know the lay of the land around here, and it's pretty easy to get lost and there IS an occasional wolf or wild cat or bear sighting, and second of all, dinner's nearly ready and i you're not there when it starts you miss out completely! So come on in to our house and start eatin' afterwards we can all have a trail ride, and maybe even camp out! How'd that be? |

Equius: A quick scan of the ranch reveals that all of the horses are in the pasture. Except for the one having a hissy fit in the barn. That horse deserved to be let outside! As the truck sputtered to a stop, I unloaded my precious horse, Miki and put her into the paddock. I then walked over to the barn. I saw a short, nerdy kid getting lectured. I hope that it's about the poor horse that he left in the barn. I walked up to him and said "Hey. You left your horse in the barn. You're not supposed to do that." The kid glared at me, but didn't resist when I grabbed him by the elbow and led him into the barn, stropping at the stall of a terrified stallion. The kid looked a little scared, so I patted him on the back and said "If you'd prefer, I can lead this horse out to the pasture. Just so you can get an idea of how it's done." He nodded, and I grabbed the horse's sparkly leather halter. "You should get the sparkles off this ASAP. Maybe he's spooking at the shiny stuff." I walked into the stall. The horse reared up an let out a shrill whinny, but I managed to snap the halter and leadrope on and lead the horse out to the pasture. I opened the gate and removed the halter. The horse galloped off, and I gave the halter to the kid. "I suppose that we should introduce each other. My name is Equius, What's your name?" I said. He replied with "I'm Sollux. Well, I need to put my stuff away now so..." He grabbed a suitcase and scurried off. I guess that this was a decent way to start this camp.
Sollux: I ran into the cabin, found an empty bunk, and put my stuff on it. I grabbed my phone and began texting my friends to take my mind off of that fact that I'll be caring for a WILD ANIMAL for the entire summer. But that intimidating guy with the long hair seemed pretty nice an knowledgeable about horses. Maybe he would help me tame the wild beast. |
