French is just a malicious language--it stays awake nights plotting to make our lives miserable. Tell your dad you want to learn Flemish instead; it's the other main language of Belgium--and it's even MORE impossible! You'll have a blast!
I want to learn German because we're German--but my brother wanted to learn Irish because my mom's side of the family is chock-full of Scots and Irish and Welsh and a Brit or two. My mom even bought him the Rosetta Stone Irish course, but he never touched it. My mom was like, "Hey, Natalie, do you want to learn Irish instead?" I took one look at it and said, "No, thank you, I'd rather try a language where all the vowels actually sound like vowels." XD |

Hey Bella Grace!
Don't ever try Turkish if you want people to take you seriously. It's probably the goofiest-sounding language I've ever heard, and you have to talk like you've got strep throat. I gave up after a few lessons because the word for "man" sounded just like the word for "bread", which was extremely confusing in situations where the sentence to learn is, for example, "the man is eating bread." Imagine that if you will and you'll feel some of my frustration. XD |

| Oh ya Turkish is not really a real language. (Don't tell the turks!) I don't get Spanish or welsh but I still try. I can't help that whenever I say the word 'Welsh' I think of the sky. XD |

My brother tried out Welsh a while ago--he went through a faze where he was obsessed with all things Celtic. So all I know about Welsh is you pronounce a double "L" by putting your tongue between your teeth and trying to hiss, or something. . .that's the extent of my knowledge.
