Fireblossom: decides to hunt another squirrel or two and bounds into the woods unnoticed. She creeps behind a tree, her alert eyes scanning the area for any movement. Her moving eyes catch the sight of a twitching tail. She goes for the prey, silently pouncing on the furry tail. Sinking her teeth into the animal, she notices movement and voices ahead of her. She crouches low behind a bush with her prey nd sniffs the air. A familiar scent fills her nostrils as she realizes who it is. She watches as Applestar and Sunspark enter her sight. She thinks carefully over the situation, wanting to leave out of respect for her leader. But, at the same time, she didn't want to be seen, as Applestar or Sunspark might think she is spying. She remains crouching, digging her claws into the ground in worry and fear. What would Applestar do if she thought Fireblossom was spying? Fireblossom's heart sank. She felt guilty and concentrated on her squirrel, studying every inch of its brown and gray fur. 'What should I do? Come on, Fireblossom, think! Should I tell Applestar I'm here, or should I wait?' Fireblossom wondered to herself. She glanced up and looked through a small hole in the branches and watched Applestar and Sunspark, hoping they wouldn't notice her.	Roncy & Bertone

Applestar: I glance at the bushes, my purple irises recognizing Fireblossom's form at once. I ignore her and walk on, afraid to embarrass her. I stop and glance behind my sleek shoulder at Sunspark, my face solemn. "It may be easy for a cat like you. Have you ever put yourself in someone else's paws...ever think how they must feel? What if you were a loner...banned from your home and forced to seek shelter in a clan unknown to you, obligated to become someone you weren't to hide your past. What if you woke everyday telling yourself that if you have lived this long, you can make it another twenty-four hours. What if everyone looked down on you, made fun of you because of the way you acted. Laughed at you because you couldn't laugh back." I approach Sunspark, my eyes on fire. "That, Sunspark, is every day in the life of Riversong. Try to show some respect for the warrior. He may look like a grump, but he is barley a year older than you."	Horsesforever12 & Jedi

Sunspark-Ah ha! I knew there was a plot behind all this seemingly meaningless talk. You're trying to gather some pity for Riversong, are you? Well, let me point out that he is well-fed, sheltered, cared for, and pampered and petted by LightClan and the warrior code. LightClan is a family, and he is part of that family. And every family has some discord and some teasing going on. he stretches and raises an eyebrow at Applestar What was your past like? Go on, then I'll tell you a tragic story about me. Fireblossom: sighs with relief that the clan leader did not reveal her hiding place. Whether Applestar knew of her presence, she did not know. Applestar's next words, though quiet, were audible for the young cat. She grimaced at the story. At the same time that she had enjoyed laughing at the older, solemn cat, she felt a pang of guilt. She did not regret her earlier apollogy. But Sunspark's next words surprised her. Did he not care? She shook her head in confusion, and, lifting her prey with her sharp teeth, silently crept back to camp.	Roncy & Bertone

Applestar: I eye Sunspark down for a good two minutes, my eyes unmoving, my mouth curved downward. "Well," I finally fill the silent forest with noise, "my story unfortunately is not that tragic. But I will have you know..." I pad forward an inch, so my breath ruffles the fur on Sunspark's face. "...I did not take you on a hunt to blather on about tragic stories. Just keep in mind that not all cats are as happy-go-lucky as you are." My last words are sharp and I brush past him, heading back to the camp.	Horsesforever12 & Jedi

Fireblossom: as I see Applestar return to the camp, I feel a pang of guilt, wondering if she would mention anything about what happened in the woods. Fireblossom doubted her presence had gone unnoticed, but decided to tell Applestar anyway. She crept over to the clan leader and bowed her head respectfully. "Applestar, may I speak with you for a moment?" waits nervously, wondering if her decision is a smart one.	Roncy & Bertone
