The language-learning app I was using on my mom's tablet has decided to completely vanish. . .probably along with all my progress. I was on I think Level 50 of German and I had seven other languages I was working on, too. . .urgh.
On a lighter note, today marks exactly the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey bearing down on the Texas Gulf Coast like a screaming banshee. Flash flood, anyone? |

| FYI, GHA (ooh, acronyms), did you know that there used to be a whole style of poetry based on the fact that so many French words sound alike? You had to write a couplet about usually pure nonsense, and make sure that both lines sounded completely identical, but you had to make sure you didn't reuse any words from the first line in the second. So most of the time the poem made absolutely no sense at all. Much like the French themselves. (See, I can say that because I'm part French. XD ) |
