| That reminds me, SWC--y'all HAVE to look up on YouTube the two-parter episode of Combat! called "Hills are for Heroes" and watch a few minutes of it in English. Then look it up in Japanese and watch it--it's absolutely hilarious. The Japanese dubs are on YouTube, but they might be hard to find. Do some digging though and you'll find it. It's worth it. |

| Tell me what you think, GHA--it had me and my family in stitches. Especially this one scene in the second part where one of the characters, Kirby, has a complete meltdown and is yelling at his lieutenant. In Japanese it had us rolling on the floor. |

| Another fun show to watch dubbed is the 60s series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, staring David Hedison and Richard Basehart. The French dubbing is my favorite--the guy who dubs David Hedison's character, Captain Crane, sounds so ridiculously suave you half-expect him to be dancing the tango with a rose in his teeth. For some reason the French changed his first name from Lee to Ted--don't ask me why, I have no clue. They also changed the name of the show's submarine, the Seaview, to "le Neptune". Thankfully the Spanish just call it the "Seabiew", since they can't pronounce "Vs" to save their lives. |
